Which Roads Require a Vignette in Slovenia?
All motorways (avtoceste, marked A) and expressways (hitre ceste, marked H) operated by DARS. Exception: the section from the Austrian border to the Hrušica exit does not require a vignette. The Karavanke Tunnel has an additional separate toll (~€8 one-way for cars).
Vehicles: Class 2A (passenger cars, SUVs up to 3,500 kg, front-axle height ≤1.3 m) — most common for tourists. Class 1 (motorcycles) has a cheaper tariff. Class 2B (vans/motorhomes up to 3,500 kg, front-axle height >1.3 m) costs double. Vehicles over 3,500 kg use the distance-based DarsGo system.
