How to Buy the North Macedonia Vignette
Purchase at the border crossing or at petrol stations near the border.
No advance purchase is possible — pay at each toll booth as you drive.
Both cash (MKD preferred; EUR accepted at all booths at the official rate of ~61 MKD/€) and credit/debit cards are accepted.
Using Macedonian Denars (MKD) gives slightly better value than paying in EUR at the booth exchange rate.
Keep small MKD notes ready — some booths are faster with exact change.
